My Experience & Qualifications

  • I grew up in Yorkshire, and have worked in NHS mental health settings since 2008. My first clinical experience was in a CAMHS in-patient service, supporting young people with a range of mental health problems, including anxiety, depression and eating disorders.

NHS Talking Therapies (previously known as IAPT) services began in 2008, and I joined in 2009. I trained initially as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner offering guided self-help interventions based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for common mental health problems.

In 2013, I trained to become a CBT therapist, working with clients experiencing Depression and a range of Anxiety disorders, including Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

I am fully accredited by the BABCP and I have worked in three different NHS Talking Therapies services across the UK, including my current service where I work part-time as a CBT & EMDR therapist and CBT supervisor.
